UniPro Texas completed the 2017 AAYGC Grant application on April 10, 2017. We made a 5-minute video telling them about our organization and how we are bettering the Houston Asian American community and what we plan to do with the grant.
Name of Program/Department to receive funds: Baon Conference, UniPro Texas
Goals: In this conference UniPro Texas aims to develop young leaders by educating students on our collective identity, and equipping students with organizing and communication skill.s. The conference aims to unite the Fil-Am community using our innate sense of Kapwa (seeing oneself in others), to empower our people toward a united and engaged future. We seek to build a space for open communication between groups and generations, and provide a medium for our voices to be heard.
