Unipro Texas launch: IGNITE
Role: Co-Founder/Director of Markteting
On September 23, 2017 Pilipino American Unity for Progress, Inc. (UniPro) officially launched the Texas chapter. We asked all our partners, community leaders, and community to join our celebration as we look back on a year of growth and look forward into what we have in store for our community. With UniPro's launch, we hope to ignite the fire within the Pilipino-American and Asian-American community in our state and drive the change we want to see happen. As space city Houston, it is the perfect setting for lift off.
Ignite - ig·nite/iɡˈnīt/ - catch fire or cause to catch fire. What are we trying to ignite?

Community Response
1. The overflowing, unconditional love from my family and the wonderful experiences and memories I share with those I hold dear, fuels my passion and empowers me. I am incredibly grateful for the sacrifices my parents made. They have endured so much for me and my sister and I am filled with humility when they share their stories of resilience and determination. My mother as a child would sell fish at the market at dusk to help out the family and then would walk miles to get to school. My father would spend his high school days before and after school picking rice because of a farmer's promise of a paid college education. Both gave up witnessing and sharing my first five childhood years to work in Saudi Arabia in hopes of a better life for us in the United States and I could not be any more proud of my name knowing that their influence in my life is remembered with the names that we share and now my sister and I carry. This love empowers me, what empowers you?
